Services & Policies

These policies explain how automotive services, estimates, approvals, parts, cancellations, and warranty coverage work. By requesting or approving services, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these policies.

1. Services and Scope of Work

We provide automotive repair, maintenance, diagnostics, and related services as agreed upon with the customer. The specific services performed will be based on the approved estimate or work authorization.

Every vehicle and repair situation is different. We will use reasonable care, appropriate diagnostic methods, and our best professional judgment. However, we cannot guarantee that every repair will resolve the customer's concern or that a specific diagnosis will be correct before testing is completed.

Some problems may require additional testing, inspection, or repairs before the cause can be confirmed.

2. Estimates and Quotes

Quotes and estimates are based on the information available at the time they are prepared. Unless specifically stated otherwise, an estimate is not a guaranteed final price.

The final cost may change if:

  • Additional problems are discovered.
  • More diagnostic testing is required.
  • Parts prices or availability change.
  • The actual condition of the vehicle differs from what was initially described.
  • Additional labor or materials are necessary to complete the approved repair safely.

We will communicate significant changes in scope or price when reasonably possible and request customer approval before proceeding with additional chargeable work, except where immediate action is necessary to prevent damage or address a safety concern.

3. Diagnostic Testing and Additional Charges

Diagnostic work is a service in itself and may require time, equipment, testing, disassembly, or inspection.

Customers may be charged for additional diagnostic testing when the original testing does not identify the cause of the concern or when further testing is reasonably necessary. Additional testing may be recommended even if the original repair does not resolve the issue.

Payment for diagnostic services does not guarantee that a repair will be identified or completed.

4. Customer Approval and Authorization

Before beginning chargeable work, we will obtain customer approval for the agreed-upon services, estimated price, or diagnostic authorization.

Customer approval authorizes us to perform the specific work described. Approval does not authorize unrelated repairs or unlimited additional charges.

If additional work is needed, we will generally contact the customer with the reason, estimated additional cost, and available options before proceeding.

Approval from the customer does not replace our professional judgment. We may decline to perform a requested repair if we believe it is unsafe, unsuitable, outside our capabilities, or likely to cause damage.

5. Right to Refuse or Cancel a Job

We reserve the right to refuse a job or decline requested work for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Unsafe working conditions.
  • A vehicle that is unsafe to operate or work on.
  • Work outside our capabilities, equipment, or experience.
  • Customer requests that conflict with safety requirements or applicable law.
  • Abusive, threatening, dishonest, or inappropriate conduct.
  • Failure to provide required information or authorization.
  • Failure to pay amounts due.
  • Parts, tools, or conditions that make the requested work impractical.

We may also cancel a job after it has been scheduled or begun if circumstances arise that prevent us from completing it safely or reasonably. If a job is canceled, the customer remains responsible for approved work already performed, diagnostic charges, parts ordered or installed, and other non-refundable costs.

6. Safety Policy

Safety takes priority over convenience, speed, or cost.

We may refuse to perform work that we determine presents an unreasonable risk to the customer, the vehicle, our equipment, or any person involved. This includes unsafe lifting conditions, severely damaged components, hazardous fluids, fire hazards, and other dangerous conditions.

We may recommend additional repairs when necessary to make a vehicle safe to operate. We are not required to complete a repair that leaves the vehicle in a condition we reasonably believe is unsafe.

Customers are responsible for disclosing known vehicle problems, modifications, previous repairs, and safety concerns that may affect the work.

7. Parts Policy

Parts may be supplied by the business or provided by the customer, depending on the agreement.

When we supply parts, we will generally select parts based on availability, compatibility, quality, and the approved budget. We may use OEM, aftermarket, remanufactured, or used parts when appropriate and agreed upon.

Customer-supplied parts must be correct, complete, and suitable for the vehicle and repair. We reserve the right to refuse customer-supplied parts that are incorrect, damaged, unsafe, counterfeit, incomplete, or otherwise unsuitable.

Additional labor, delays, or costs caused by incorrect, defective, missing, or customer-supplied parts may be the customer's responsibility.

Parts removed from the vehicle may be discarded unless the customer requests their return before the work is completed.

8. Parts Warranty

Parts may be covered by the manufacturer's or supplier's warranty, if one applies. Warranty coverage, duration, and requirements vary by part and supplier.

Our warranty does not automatically extend beyond the coverage provided by the applicable parts manufacturer or supplier. We will assist with warranty claims when reasonably possible, but approval and resolution are determined by the manufacturer or supplier.

Warranty coverage may require inspection, documentation, return of the failed part, or other conditions. We cannot guarantee that a manufacturer or supplier will approve a claim.

If a covered part fails, the remedy may be limited to replacement of the defective part. Additional labor, diagnostic charges, towing, rental vehicles, fluids, or other related costs may not be covered unless specifically agreed upon or required by the applicable warranty.

9. Oil, Fluids, and Other Wearable Items

Oil, filters, fluids, gaskets, seals, brake pads, belts, hoses, wiper blades, and other routine maintenance or wearable items are not covered under our warranty unless the item itself is defective or fails prematurely due to a covered defect.

Normal wear, expected service life, contamination, improper maintenance, misuse, overheating, accidents, and failures caused by other components are not considered covered defects.

A replacement part or maintenance item that reaches the end of its normal service life is not a warranty failure.

10. Repair Outcome and Limitations

We will make reasonable efforts to diagnose and repair the vehicle based on the approved scope of work. However, we cannot guarantee that every repair will permanently resolve a concern, prevent future failures, or restore a vehicle to a particular condition.

Vehicles may have multiple underlying problems. A repair may correct one issue while another issue remains or becomes apparent.

We are not responsible for unrelated pre-existing conditions, failures of other components, or damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, modifications, or repairs performed by others.

11. No-Show and Appointment Policy

Appointments are reserved for the customer and may require preparation, scheduling, or parts ordering.

Customers should provide reasonable notice if they need to cancel or reschedule. Repeated no-shows, late cancellations, or failure to respond may result in future appointments requiring a deposit or being declined.

If a customer does not show up for a scheduled appointment without notice, we reserve the right to charge a no-show or cancellation fee of $25, if applicable and disclosed before the appointment is confirmed.

Any approved work already performed, parts ordered, or non-refundable expenses remain the customer's responsibility.

12. Payment

Payment is due when the agreed-upon services are completed, unless different terms have been approved in writing.

The customer is responsible for approved labor, diagnostic charges, parts, supplies, taxes, and other disclosed costs.

A vehicle may not be released until the balance is paid in full, subject to applicable law.

13. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate vehicle information and describing the concern as completely as possible.
  • Disclosing known modifications, previous repairs, and relevant problems.
  • Reviewing and approving estimates before work begins.
  • Responding to requests for authorization in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining the vehicle according to manufacturer recommendations.
  • Following any post-repair instructions provided.
  • Notifying us promptly if a problem occurs after service.

14. Policy Changes

We reserve the right to update these policies as the business develops. The policies in effect at the time of approval will generally apply to that job unless otherwise required by law.

Customer Acknowledgment

By approving services, the customer acknowledges that they have had the opportunity to review these policies and understands that estimates, diagnostic results, parts coverage, and repair outcomes may vary.
